1. Is Registration Mandatory?
Yes. The Government of Uttarakhand mandates that every devotee visiting Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, or Hemkund Sahib must possess a valid Yatra Registration QR Slip (Yatra E-Pass) before entering police checkpoints at Rishikesh, Barkot, Sonprayag, and Joshimath.
2. Required Documents for Registration
- Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport).
- Active Mobile Number (for receiving OTP and SMS verification).
- Expected date of darshan for each Dham (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath).
- Mode of transport (Commercial taxi registration number / Bus / Helicopter).
3. Step-by-Step Online Registration Steps
- Visit the Portal: Open the official Uttarakhand Tourism registration website (
registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in).
- Create User Account: Enter your full name, mobile number, and set a password. Verify with OTP.
- Create Tour Plan: Select Tour Type (Individual / Family / Group), choose start date, and check boxes for the shrines you will visit.
- Add Pilgrim Details: Enter names, age, gender, Aadhaar number, emergency contact number, and upload photo ID.
- Download Yatra QR Slip: Once submitted, download and print the PDF containing unique Yatra Registration Numbers (YRN) and QR codes for each traveller.
